How To Start Journaling
If you’ve never journaled before, then getting started may seem like a daunting task. You’re probably wondering how to begin, how much to write, and how often you should be journaling.
The best advice I received about journaling is to just get started. Don’t overthink it. There is nothing to be intimidated by and there are really no rules.
Journaling is a way to discover yourself and understand your mind on a deeper, more personal level. At first, it may seem strange to think so deeply about certain topics, whether it be memories from your past or hopes for the future. But the good news is, the more you do it the more natural it will feel.
Let your guard down and remember that this is between you and your own thoughts. Nobody else needs to read your journal or make sense of the words you’ve expressed. It’s just for you.
